Presentations now available to view! HCF and the Humber Welcome Brazilian Visitors to the Humber Region

On Monday 23rd November, HCF and the Humber welcomed representatives from the Brazilian renewable and supply chain sectors to our region for an introductory meeting.  The meeting, which was organised by UK Trade & Investment Yorkshire and Humber, was held at the CATCH facility in Immingham, and hosted by Dr. Glyn Hughes, the CEO of Humber Chemical Focus.  Those present:

Also present was Alastair Gardner from UKTI, Jeffe Baker from Associated British Ports, Kate Walker from North East Lincolnshire Council, Tony Edwards from Humber INCA and Katie Hedges from HCF. 

The meeting provided an opportunity to introduce the Yorkshire and Humber region as a key location in the development of renewable process and energy industries both on and offshore, including wind, biomass, carbon capture and renewable feedstocks. 

Following their visit to the Humber, the Brazilian visitors travelled to York to meet academics and technologists to discuss current and future developments, before travelling to the North East for the final part of their stay. 

Brazil is currently the world’s largest producer of bioenthanol.
